Charity: Supporting Berkshire Vision

We are proud to support Berkshire Vision, a local charity helping visually impaired children and adults, and their families, across Berkshire.

Sight loss can be frightening and isolating. Berkshire Vision is here to help and support.

They provide practical and friendly support, sport and activities to visually impaired children and adults, and their families in Berkshire. Helping to develop confidence and independence and the skills to navigate the world with safety and ease.

Their work includes one-to-one support, technology guidance, social activities, adapted sport and support for families — making a real difference to people living with sight loss across our local community.

Registered charity number: 1146413

Graham's Story

Berkshire Vision members taking part in a social activity together.

Graham, 85, has lived with progressive sight loss throughout his life. But when he suddenly lost his central vision two years ago, everyday independence became much harder.

After being registered as severely sight-impaired, Graham was referred to Berkshire Vision. That referral became a turning point.

“One of the best things that happened was that a real person came to my home, sat down, and explained what help was out there. They didn’t just talk at me, they listened. That really mattered.”

Graham, 85
