Membership information

We pride ourselves on being a Social Running Club for members of all ages and ability and we are always pleased to welcome new members.

 

If you are thinking of joining us then we would be happy to talk to you at any of our training runs, and you can also accompany us on the run without pressure to join to see if it suits your running needs.

Annual Membership gives members full access to the club and all events. England Athletics (EA) registration is optional and their fee would need to be paid in addition to club membership.

​

Membership year:

1st April – 31st March, renewable on 1st April each year.

​

Subscription Rates:

· Single £12 (over 18 years of age)

· Family £16 (Adults & Children up to 18 or in full-time education)

· Social £7

England Athletics:

Wargrave and Twyford Runners is affiliated to England Athletics which means that the club has all the benefits of affiliation, including enabling members to register with EA as a Wargrave and Twyford runner. Currently the club does not compete as a team in any specific events which would require EA membership, in particular the TVARC and TVXC running series do not require EA membership.

EA registration is annual and also runs from April to March. The cost for EA athlete registration from April 2023 is an additional £17 per registered athlete which the club pays in full to EA.

If you are likely to race at a number of EA licensed events though the year (most formally organised events will be EA licensed) then we recommend you also join England Athletics, which will enable you to pay the reduced entry fees for affiliated runners. (Club Membership does not in itself entitle you to the reduced entry fee).

As an EA affiliated club under the current rules we are entitled to a club place at the London Marathon. This place is selected by ballot of interested members who fulfil the following criteria:

· EA athlete registration

· Unsuccessfully entered the public London Marathon ballot for this year

· Not won the club place in the previous 3 events

· Active club member for at least a year
